Our Promise

At BarkGains, we stand behind the quality of our premium dog products. We want you and your furry friend to be completely satisfied with every purchase. If for any reason you're not happy with your order, we're here to help make it right.

BarkGains offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on most products. If you're not completely satisfied, you can return eligible items for a refund or exchange.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following criteria:

  • The return request must be initiated within 30 days of delivery
  • The item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it
  • The item must be in its original packaging
  • You must have the receipt or proof of purchase

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Opened food, treats, or consumable products (unless defective)
  • Personalized or custom-made items
  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable products
  • Items marked as final sale or clearance
  • Items that have been used, damaged, or altered after receipt

For health and safety reasons, certain products may have specific return restrictions. These will be noted on the product page.

Return Process

We've made our return process as simple as possible:

Initiate Your Return

Log into your BarkGains account, go to "Order History," select the order containing the item(s) you wish to return, and click "Return Items." Alternatively, contact our customer service team.

Receive Return Authorization

Once your return request is approved, you'll receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return shipping instructions via email.

Package Your Return

Pack the item(s) securely in the original packaging if possible. Include the RMA number and any provided return form in your package.

Ship Your Return

Ship your return using the provided return shipping label or the carrier of your choice to the address provided in your return instructions.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund or exchange. You'll receive an email notification when your refund has been processed.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 5-7 business days. Depending on your credit card company or bank, it may take an additional 2-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

Refund Options

  • Original Payment Method: Refunds will typically be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
  • Store Credit: You may choose to receive store credit instead of a refund to your original payment method. Store credit never expires and can be used on future purchases.
  • Exchange: You may exchange your item for another product of equal or greater value (paying the difference if applicable).

Return Shipping

You will be responsible for paying the return shipping costs unless the item is being returned due to our error (you received an incorrect or defective item).

For returns due to our error, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label and refund your original shipping costs.

For all other returns, the shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. The cost varies based on the size and weight of the item but typically ranges from $5.99 to $14.99.

Premium Pack Members: Customers enrolled in our Premium Pack membership program receive free return shipping on all eligible returns.

Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact our customer service team within 7 days of delivery. Please provide:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the damage or defect
  • Photos of the damaged item and packaging (if applicable)

For damaged or defective items, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label and, depending on availability and your preference, offer a replacement or full refund including original shipping costs.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven't received a refund yet, first check your bank account or credit card statement again. Then contact your credit card company or bank, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

If you've done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact our customer service team.

Exchanges

We offer exchanges for items of equal or greater value. To request an exchange:

  1. Follow the return process outlined above
  2. Indicate that you want an exchange rather than a refund
  3. Specify the item you would like instead

If the exchange item is of greater value than your original purchase, you will need to pay the difference. If it is of lesser value, we will refund the difference to your original payment method.

Please note that we cannot hold items for exchange. Availability of exchange items is subject to current inventory levels at the time your return is processed.

Gift Returns

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will be notified about your return.

Sale Items

Only regularly priced items may be refunded. Sale items marked as "Final Sale" cannot be refunded. Sale items not marked as "Final Sale" can be returned for store credit only.
